as it will be my first visit to mangarh this guru poornima,I have decided to gain spiritual benefit as much as possible.
This is a great question to ask before visiting guru dham. If you’re already thinking in this way, then you are giving yourself the best chance to experience the grace of God and guru while you are in Mangarh. The most important thing to feel is that Shree Maharaj Ji is still physically there in Mangarh. There is no difference for a devotee now as compared to the time when you could actually meet Maharaj Ji (before his ascension). When you are walking around Mangarh, when you are doing sadhana, when you are eating in the dining hall, you should always feel that Shree Maharaj Ji is there with you. Then you will experience that he actually is there with you.
Doing seva while in guru dham is also an important opportunity to increase humbleness and dedication. There are two main ways that you can serve while there. One is to physically help with things like food preparation for the devotees, cleaning in the kitchen, sweeping in the sadhana hall (Bhakti Bhavan), etc. The seva coordinators in these various areas will ask for volunteers, or you can simply go directly and join in.
Many people also desire to contribute financially to the charitable projects initiated by Shree Maharaj Ji. This is a beautiful way to do seva while in guru dham. Fundraising activities will be taking place while you are there, and you are welcome to participate. For information on JKP’s charitable hospitals, visit jkphospitals.org. Radhe Radhe, thank you swamiji.
