2023 SUMMER SADHANA SHIVIR

Registration is Closed.

Summer Sadhana Shivir at Radha Madhav Dham

July 8-23, 2023

Registration Deposit (NEW)

Starting this Summer Sadhana Shivir, we will begin collecting a registration deposit of $50 per person ($20 per Day Camper). Registration will only be considered complete once the deposit is received. This registration deposit is non-refundable, which means it will not be returned if you cancel and don’t attend the Sadhana Shivir. When you do attend the Shivir, it will be deducted from your balance owed when you check in (thus, it does not increase your overall cost for attending the program). If the initial deposit ends up exceeding your total accommodation charges, the accommodation team will refund the difference.

Accommodation Rates

  • Dorm – $35 per Adult & $25 per child per night
  • Room with common bath – $40 per Adult & $25 per child per night
  • Room with attached bath – $55 per Adult & $30 per Child per night
  • Day Camper – $20 per Adult & $15 per Child

Important Dates to keep in mind when you make your travel plans

  • Day 1: The Shivir begins at 5:15 pm on Saturday, July 8
  • Radha Rani Rath Yatra Celebration: Sunday, July 16 (8 am to 1 pm)
  • Last day: The Shivir concludes at 1:00 pm on Sunday, July 23

Supervision of children:

All children aged 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during their entire stay at Radha Madhav Dham – this includes Day Campers. Guardianship can be delegated to a direct relative over the age of 25.

The focus of the entire two weeks will be on sadhana and seva, and there will not be a complete parallel schedule of programming for kids. Participants of all ages are welcome to attend the Sadhana Shivir, but please keep in mind that accompanying children are required to participate in the Sadhana Shivir along with the adults. We will, however, be offering harmonium and dholak lessons for all kids (age 7 & up) everyday at 2:30-3:30 pm. Kids will be assigned the right level on the first day of the Shivir.

Curfew: All kids (age 17 and under) must be in their rooms with the lights out by no later than 11:00 pm. “Sleepovers” are not allowed – kids must sleep in the same room with their parents. Curfew is monitored, and violations will result in dismissal from the Sadhana Shivir.

Teenagers (High School Age 14-17):

Teenagers who would like to attend the sadhana shivir should request an invite by sending an email to nb@radhamadhavdham.org and sharing that they would like to join the Sadhana Shivir with full commitment to devotion. Please ensure that your teenager has received an invite before you book your flights or make other travel arrangements. We will be limiting capacity based on the availability of overnight accommodations, so please try to secure your invite at the soonest possible.

Guidelines for All Camp Participants:

Participate: The Sadhana Shivir schedule has been carefully crafted to blend activities, seva and rest so that you can take full advantage of your time at Radha Madhav Dham. The more you participate, the more you will get out of it!

Contribute: The Camp is managed by volunteers. We encourage you to take part in devotional seva (like cooking, cleaning, decorating, etc.) and contribute to the running of the Camp.

Model devotional behavior: Everyone learns by watching. Both adults and kids will be influenced by your humble and cooperative behavior while at Radha Madhav Dham. By setting a good example, you will positively affect all those around you.

Attire: Clothing worn should reflect the attitude and ambiance of RMD, and be respectful of the sanctity of the ashram. We do not allow shorts, leggings with short tops, sleeveless shirts, swimsuits, etc.

Smoking/Drug/Alcohol Policy: Smoking, drugs, or alcohol are not allowed anywhere on RMD property. Any violation of this policy will result in dismissal from the Camp and removal from RMD premises.
